The Congregation Beth Shalom USY chapter is called CBS USY.  CBS USY has one of the largest memberships in the Chicago region, and is open to Jewish 9th-12th graders. We sponsor more than 45 programs annually, with a weekly lounge night on Thursday nights to hang out with friends in the Gloss Youth Lounge, as well as Saturday night and Sunday programs. In addition, the CBS Youth Department has started a new Teen Shabbat Service, where teens are invited and encouraged to participate in a teen-led Shabbat service.  Programs are planned by a board of USYers with the help of our USY advisors.

We also strongly encourage participation in Regional and International Conventions and International summer programs. We always have large delegations attend regional events including various weekend-long KINNUSIM (conventions) and a weeklong International Convention, as well as summer pilgrimages to Israel, Spain, Italy, Poland and Eastern Europe, and the popular USY-On-Wheels Program.

CBS USY encourages programs that focus on issues of social justice, tzedakah, Israel advocacy, and Judaism as a religion, while developing a strong Jewish identity in our membership and having fun!
