CBS offers daily morning and evening minyanim.
A minyan is the foundation of a spiritual community. Our CBS family is proud to offer daily egalitarian worship services morning and evening every day of the year. Services require a “minyan” (a quorum of 10 adults), and thus we welcome all members of the community and their attendance is cherished. Both our daily morning and evening minyanim are held in-person and live streamed.
The minyan supports those in need of reciting Kaddish on the anniversary of a death or during the 11 months of mourning after a close relative has passed away, but it’s much more than that. The morning minyan is a way to start the day off on the right foot with prayer time for introspection.
Minyan is held in the Feather Beit Midrash:
Dress code is casual.
This policy can change based on input from the CBS COVID Task Force, Cook County, the Village of Northbrook and the State of Illinois.
Congregation Beth Shalom is committed to the safety of all of its congregants and staff. Our Medical Advisory Task Force continuously monitors COVID-19 updates from local, state and federal authorities in an effort to provide our community with recommendations and guidelines for their continued safety both inside and outside of the synagogue.
