CBS Yahrzeit Notifications and Name Reading

To help honor the memory of your loved ones, you will receive Yahrzeit notifications via email during the month prior to the remembrance date.  Your loved one’s name will be read at evening services the day before in addition to morning and evening services on the day of the Yahrzeit.  It is appropriate to light a Yahrzeit candle the evening before the remembrance date.

Yahrzeits for the upcoming week are printed in the Shabbat brochure and all of the month’s Yahrzeits are printed in the monthly bulletin.

We no longer read all of the names for the week’s Yahrzeits during Shabbat services and have not done so for more than three years.
