Anat began working with the CBS youth in July 2024. A native of Deerfield, Illinois, Anat is an alum of Deerfield High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Jewish Studies from Michigan State University. Before going away to college, Anat was an active member here at Beth Shalom. Anat was a Madrichol, working in the religious school, and a devoted USYer. She was a committed member of chapter, regional, and international boards during her time in USY. As a senior in high school, Anat received the honor of Congregation Beth Shalom’s Youth of the Year award. Anat will oversee programming from 3rd through 12th grade, as well as engage with younger children aged birth to second grade. She is eager to introduce innovative programming to Chaverim, Gesher, and USY, aiming to inspire and mentor youth toward achieving their goals.

Originally from Deerfield, Josh spent his first year of college living in Israel as a student on the Nativ College Leadership Program, where he studied at the Rothberg International School at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He spent the rest of his time traveling extensively throughout the country and Eastern Europe and volunteering at the Yemin Orde Youth Village just south of Haifa. Returning to the States, Josh attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois where he obtained a B.A. in Music & Entertainment Industry. Afterwards, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked at a comedy club and pursued multiple career opportunities in film and event coordination. Josh has since returned home to Buffalo Grove, and he is thrilled to be putting his skills and energy to good use in a wonderful community. His multiple experiences working with children at overnight camps, teaching martial arts, the youth village, and at the comedy club have crafted his abilities to deliver the best experiences and education for children. Josh works with Club Spark and our Families with Young Children.
