Mosaics Inspired by Tragedy Exhibit
Hosted by Congregation Beth Shalom
September 11-October 25, 2024
(available for viewing during regular office hours)
On October 27, 2018, the Tree of Life synagogue congregants in Pittsburgh were victims of the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States. A project to create healing images was orchestrated by Susan Ribnick of Austin, TX that ultimately produced 37 powerful mosaics. The mosaics in the exhibit evoke themes ranging from confronting antisemitism and injustice, to hope and peace.
