For those who are unfamiliar, the ARK operates a Thrift Shop in the city where anyone can shop.  Money from the sales goes back into the ARK's budget.  Also, ARK clients can shop using vouchers to purchase gently used clothing, household items and furniture. 

For truck drop-offs at Northbrook location, the ARK truck can accept gently used clothing and household items (and essentially any items that you can transport yourself to the drop-off location).   NO used toys, cribs or other children's items such as high chairs.  Due to the new laws about children's products, the ARK cannot take these items.  The ARK is in need of men's jeans, men's and women's shoes and boots in good condition, winter coats, gloves, hats and scarves for adults and children. All donations are tax deductible, and donors will receive a tax letter within one month following donation.  Currently the ARK is in special need of warm coats and sweaters!
