January is Animal Shelter Support Month

 Chase away the winter blues by helping animals in need.  Donations will be given to Orphans of the Storm in Riverwoods and Heartland Animal Shelter in Northbrook.  These shelters take in, care for, and find good and loving adoptive homes for thousands of stray and abandoned dogs and cats each year.

 Simply bring items to the drop off bins in the Congregation Beth Shalom lobby.  Although treats (preferably Milkbone, no catnip), toys (new and not hand-made),  blankets, towels, collars and leashes are always appreciated, the following would be even more helpful:
