Hebrew School Involvement

Your librarian is extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to meet with our CBS students on a regular basis, every other week. During class sessions, students are able:

• To share favorite books as they “booktalk” with their classmates, teachers, and librarian
• To listen to stories written by Jewish authors and learn about Jewish holidays
• To watch and check out DVDs or videos related to their curriculum
• To visit our annual Book Fair
• To work on research projects using our Computer Lab and print materials
• To meet a well-known children’s book author – a visit made possible by an Endowment  Grant of funds provided through the Eastern European Torah Project
• To create bookmarks to celebrate Jewish Art Month
• To compose poetry related to Jewish themes to recognize National Poetry Month
• To participate in reading programs appropriate to their grade levels
